Before we can see any patient, we will need a physician’s order for your medication, details about your health insurance plan, and other information such as your demographics, vitals, labs, and certain clinical data to authorize your treatment.
All of the information your doctor needs to provide can be found on our Referrals page. If you would like, we can reach out to your physician on your behalf.
Once we have everything from your doctor, a member of the Novella Infusion team will review your information and, if required by your health insurance, reach out to your insurance plan to obtain a prior authorization (PA). Your PA is a confirmation from your insurance that the prescription is covered by your health plan.
Once you are approved for treatment, a member of the Novella Infusion team will contact you to schedule your appointment for a time that is convenient for you.
Novella Infusion centers are located throughout New England, in fact if you live in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, or Vermont, there is probably a Novella Infusion close by.
Novella Infusion centers are conveniently located in retail spaces and medical buildings that offer free parking and other amenities.
Most Novella Infusion centers offer private suites, and all Novella Infusion centers come equipped with amenities like streaming tablets, high-speed Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, free healthy snacks, leather recliners and chairs for guests.
Novella Infusion does not offer wellness infusions – such as B-12 injections and hydration treatments, unless those therapies are prescribed alongside an existing treatment requested by your physician.
Prior to scheduling your appointment with Novella Infusion, a member of our financial assistance team will review your coverage and let you know what your expected out-of-pocket cost will be. We’ll explore ways to reduce your costs through copay assistance and financial assistance programs.
Novella Infusion is one of the most trusted infusion providers in New England and follows all of the same regulatory guidelines and safety standards as your physician’s office and most hospitals.
Novella Infusion staffs its centers at a low patient-to-nurse ratio, ensuring a level of oversight and rapid response necessary if you experience any adverse event from your treatment, and a nurse practitioner is always on site.
Each Novella Infusion center is equipped with automated external defibrillators (AEDs), and the onsite medical team is trained in administering basic life support and anaphylaxis protocol.
Please contact your local Novella Infusion specialist and they will help you reschedule your appointment.
Once insurance has paid their portion and a statement is received, patients may pay the remaining portion by check or credit card using the prepaid envelope that accompanies the mailed statement or call the number on their statement 802-397-9366. You will be informed of your plan’s infusion benefits and out-of-pocket expenses prior to your infusion. There are no billing surprises at Novella Infusion.
