Psoriatic Arthritis Infusion and Treatment Centers

Interested in Scheduling a Treatment for Psoriatic Arthritis at a Novella Infusion Center?

What is Psoriatic Arthritis (PsA)?

Psoriatic Arthritis (PsA) is a form of inflammatory arthritis affecting some people with psoriasis and produces joint pain, stiffness and swelling in addition to psoriatic symptoms. Psoriatic arthritis is a chronic disease with no known cure, but its symptoms can be treated.

How Psoriatic Arthritis is Managed Through Novella Infusion Therapy

Novella Infusion centers can treat the symptoms of psoriatic arthritis using medication to control psoriatic and joint symptoms. For an infusion, the onsite Novella Infusion Nurse Practitioner administers the medication via a catheter that drips the medication directly into the patient’s blood stream, or in the case of subcutaneous injection by injecting patients with the biologic therapy, usually into the thigh or abdomen. Depending on the treatment, patients can see clearer skin within several months, with many seeing results sooner.

What to Expect at my Psoriatic Arthritis Treatment

At Novella Infusion, our onsite nurse practitioners can treat psoriatic arthritis using infusions or a subcutaneous injection. When the patient receives an IV, a single IV dose is administered over a period of about two hours. Subcutaneous injection appointments will be shorter, and the medication is administered through an injection to the thigh or abdomen.
