What is Ulcerative Colitis (UC)?

Ulcerative colitis is an inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) that causes inflammation and ulcers (sores) in the digestive tract. Ulcerative colitis affects the innermost lining of the large intestine and rectum. In most people, symptoms usually develop over time, rather than suddenly.

How Ulcerative Colitis is Managed Through Novella Infusion Therapy

UC symptoms can be managed through regular infusion treatments. Patients can expect an infusion for ulcerative colitis to last anywhere from 30 minutes to several hours. Patients who receive infusion therapy for UC at Novella Infusion centers usually have reduced symptoms and can even experience remission when treatments are maintained. Treatment for UC and other IBDs can help return a patient to a healthy, more active lifestyle.
